Cher\/ch\u00e8re Ancien(ne),C\u2019est avec grand plaisir que nous vous rappelons que la Fin de semaine des retrouvailles 2014<\/a> se tiendra du 5 au 7 septembre prochain. Cet \u00e9v\u00e8nement incluera le Souper des retrouvailles et, exceptionnellement cette ann\u00e9e, la remise du prix Birchall, sous la pr\u00e9sidence d\u2019honneur du lieutenant-g\u00e9n\u00e9ral (retrait\u00e9) Richard Evraire. Cette fin de semaine marquera par ailleurs l\u2019entr\u00e9e dans la Vieille Brigade de la classe 1964. Pour cette occasion, un repas gastronomique<\/a> de cinq services comprenant vin et cocktail d\u2019accueil sera offert, agr\u00e9ment\u00e9 d\u2019une musique d\u2019ambiance. Une danse conclura la soir\u00e9e. Le tout vous est offert \u00e0 un prix des plus raisonnables. Voici le Calendrier des activit\u00e9s<\/a> et le Formulaire d’inscription<\/a> de la FDSDR 2014. Le prix Birchall, cr\u00e9\u00e9 en l\u2019honneur du h\u00e9ros de la Deuxi\u00e8me Guerre mondiale, le commodore de l\u2019air 2364 Leonard J. Birchall CM, OBE, DFC, OO, CD [1915-2004], r\u00e9compense chaque ann\u00e9e les leaders canadiens s\u2019\u00e9tant distingu\u00e9s par leur int\u00e9grit\u00e9, leur sens des responsabilit\u00e9s et leur courage moral. Cette ann\u00e9e, la Fondation des Coll\u00e8ges militaires royaux du Canada, en coordination avec le Chapitre Fort Saint-Jean du Club des CMR, a l\u2019honneur et le privil\u00e8ge de d\u00e9cerner ce prestigieux prix au lieutenant-g\u00e9n\u00e9ral (retrait\u00e9) l\u2019Honorable Rom\u00e9o Dallaire, O.C., C.M.M, G.O.C, M.S.C., C.D., de la classe de 1964.<\/p>\n

L\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement sera par ailleurs l\u2019occasion de promouvoir un projet dynamique mettant en valeur le \u00ab Chemin patrimonial \u00bb, l\u2019all\u00e9e menant de la Porte du Fort Saint-Jean jusqu\u2019au nouveau Mus\u00e9e. Ce projet s\u2019inscrit dans une d\u00e9marche visant \u00e0 valoriser l\u2019histoire et le patrimoine du Coll\u00e8ge militaire royal de Saint-Jean et \u00e0 accro\u00eetre son rayonnement aupr\u00e8s du public. Dear Ex-Cadet,It is with great pleasure that we remind you that the 2014 Homecoming Weekend<\/a> will take place during the weekend of 5 to 7 September. This event will include annual Homecoming Dinner and, exceptionally this year, the presentation of the Birchall Leadership Award, with Lieutenant-General (retired) Richard \u00c9vraire as honorary president. This weekend also marks the entry into the Old Brigade of the Class of 1964. This special evening will include a five-course gourmet banquet<\/a> with wine, cocktails, dinner music and a dance, for a most reasonable price. Here are the Schedule of events<\/a> and the Registration Form<\/a>. Please note that the registration deadline is Thursday August 28th.<\/p>\n

The Birchall Award was created in honour of one of our greatest heroes of the Second World War, 2364 Air Commodore Leonard J. Birchall CM, OBE, DFC, OO, CD [1915-2004]. It is presented annually to distinguished Canadian leaders who have demonstrated integrity, responsibility and moral courage. This year, the Royal Military Colleges Foundation, in coordination with the Fort Saint-Jean Branch of the RMC Club, has the honour and the privilege of presenting this prestigious award to Lieutenant General the Honourable Rom\u00e9o A. Dallaire, O.C., C.M.M, G.O.C, M.S.C., C.D., (retired), from the Class of 1964.<\/p>\n

The event will also be an opportunity to promote a major project showcasing the “Heritage Lane”, the pathway from the north Gate of Fort Saint-Jean to the new Museum. This project is part of an effort to highlight the history and heritage of the Royal Military College Saint-Jean campus and enhance its prestige in the eyes of the public. You should be receiving within a few days a separate mailing from the CMR Ex-Cadet Foundation with more details regarding this endeavour.<\/p>\n

We encourage you to sign up ASAP and join us on this historic military site that has made you an ex-Cadet of the Royal Military Colleges of Canada.<\/p>\n
