45-Year Reunion and Entry into the Old Brigade

Hi, guys. Guess what, it’s Reunion time again. It’s forty-five years since we graduated and 50 years since we entered military college.  Our next reunion and our entry into the Old Brigade are just three short months away.

In 2017, Ex-Cadet Weekend and our entry into the Old Brigade are the weekend of September 29-Oct 1. In addition to the usual Ex-Cadet weekend events, the following class/Old Brigade events are planned:

  • Friday, Sept 29 – ‘Meet and Greet’ at the Four Points by Sheraton,
  • Sat, Sept 30 – Old Brigade Dinner at the Four Points by Sheraton Restaurant, and
  • Sun, Oct 1 – Ex-Cadet Parade followed by Old Brigade Lunch at Senior Staff Mess.

More information about the Old Brigade activities and dress are posted on the class website – Note as part of our entry into the Old Brigade our class is being asked to do a skit, sing a song, recite a poem or some other form of entertainment. Information about the other activities, like golf, will be posted on the class website as they become available.  Also, Gerry Stowe, the Old Brigade Adjutant, would like to know who is the youngest member of the class, and if any members of our class are clergy.

Many have asked about Old Brigade berets, badges and ties. These can be purchased online at

We have 50 rooms reserved at the Four Points by Sheraton ( for the Class. The rate is $220 + tax/night. To get the rate make sure you ask for the RMC Club Ex-Cadet Class of 72 rate. The block bookings expire 29 August.  Book early!  To book on-line, click on the following link – Class of 72 – Four Points Booking.

To mark our Entry into the Old Brigade, our Class committed to raising $150,000 to be used to refurbish the Currie Building artwork.  I am pleased to report that we are less than $10,000 away. With one last push, we should be able to reach our goal!

Finally, please respond to this letter by sending an email to to let me know if you are planning to attend, if you will be accompanied, and if you have any special requests.

I look forward to hearing from you and catching up with you at the 45th.
